Skills and Attributes required
Relevant Midwifery qualification
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration midwifery practice
- Internationally qualified Midwives must have or be eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Fluency and comprehension in English to be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with patients, colleagues and other health professionals
- Clinical experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for women and babies
- Strong commitment to the protection, promotion, and support of breastfeeding
- The ability to make informed decisions that focus on providing quality maternity care for women
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
