Rockhampton Regional Development

Rockhampton Regional Development represents a region in Central Queensland, Australia covering a total area of 18,356 km² and accounts for 1.1% of the state. It includes the urban centres of Emu Park, Gracemere, Mount Morgan, Rockhampton and Yeppoon.

Who we are

The businesses we represent are in a region that enjoys a subtropical climate with wet summers and low winter rainfalls. The highest mean maximum monthly temperature in Rockhampton is in December with 32.1°C. Yeppoon’s highest mean maximum monthly temperature is in January and February with 29.4°C. July has the lowest mean minimum monthly temperature in both Rockhampton and Yeppoon with 9.5°C and 11.7°C respectively.

The estimated resident population of the Rockhampton region at 30 June 2008 was 111,528 persons, 2.6% of the total Queensland population. The majority of the population is concentrated in Rockhampton statistical local area (63,527 persons).
