Social Worker relaxes into life in Perth

I have been in Western Australia for three years now and loving it.

I came out here from Essex with my family, hubby and two children, who were then 10 and 13 years old. We love the lifestyle – it’s much more relaxed and a far slower pace of life. Everyone is so friendly (it must be because the sun is shining most of the time), even in the street or in the shops. We live near the beach and visit there often. Perth City itself is clean and refreshing and being on the river makes for a great day out.

Sue Quinton, DCP

I have worked for DCP for the last year and a half as a Child Protection Worker (Social Worker to you poms) and have been very happy in my work place. I have made great friends, everyone is supportive of each other and there are numerous chances to advance your career if that’s what you are interested in.

We never regretted our decision to change our lives for the better by coming to Western Australia. It’s a beautiful place to live, has great weather and the Department for Child Protection offers a caring working environment to develop my career.

Come and see for yourself, I’m sure you’ll love it too!
