Komatsu Australia made my migration easy
I was working for Komatsu UK as a field service engineer in the southwest for six and a half years from 2001, where I learned about the Komatsu products. I was always interested in moving overseas and in 2007 I met an Australian on one of my worksites who told me that engineers were desperately needed throughout Australia.
He gave me the telephone number of a person who worked in Komatsu Perth and in January 2008 I moved to Australia.
I emigrated for a better lifestyle and future, which I now have. Komatsu Australia made the process of migration easy and I now enjoy life in a better climate where the cost of living is a lot cheaper.
I started work with Komatsu Australia as a field service engineer in a town called Geraldton, about 450km north of Perth in the midwest of WA. After only three months, I was promoted to field service leading hand. I still hold this position, but with the expected boom in the area over the next few years, this could change.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Komatsu Australia for their continued help and support over the past three years and point out that Komatsu Australia definitely focuses on career planning – if that’s what you’re looking for.
