Business Development Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage all aspects of TVS marketing and business development with respect to the growth of existing business streams, the development of new business opportunities and the maintenance of existing customer relationships.
Duties & Accountability
- Develop and manage marketing plans in line with the company strategic direction and budgets.
- Maintain regular contact with the existing customer base with a view to maintaining market share and existing revenue streams.
- Locate potential new customers for the business and develop business relations with a view to securing new business.
- Contribute to the formulation of business strategy as a member of the management team.
- Maintain and develop the company's corporate image and reputation
- Be aware of all relevant project work for which its services and product are applicable and ensure the company is a pre-approved tenderer.
- Pre-qualifty potential bids to ensure best potential for successful bidding.
- Review the commercial contents of tenders.
Key Requirements
- Good working knowledge of engineering fabrication.
- The ability to produce reports for management reflecting sales and marketing strategy, quoting and tendering strike rates and related activities.
- Experience in the formulation of tenders with a particular emphasis on the commercial aspects.
- Proven record in sales and/or marketing within an engineering fabrication or similar environment.
