Located in the north of Australia, our Darwin office seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Power Engineer with at least 10 years experience to join their dynamic and growing Power and Electrical team, taking on the role of Team Leader. Experience in the Industrial and Power Generation Industry is essential.
 
Primary responsibilities of this dynamic role include:
  • Acting as a job manager for a wide range of commissions, managing the delivery of projects on budget, time and quality. Projects range from strategic planning studies, feasibility studies, concept and detailed design projects through to construction phase services.
  • Providing technical / design expertise into projects as required and assist in the management of engineering and support staff in this area as required by the Service Group Leader.
  • Supporting the Service Group Manager, in developing GHD's Power/Industrial Mechanical consultancy both locally and nationally.
  • Business Development, Fee Proposal writing and Fee Estimates.
Ideally, the successful candidate will possess a wide knowledge of mechanical engineering and specific experience in natural gas and diesel power generation with reciprocating engines and turbines, inter-discipline coordination and checking, budget estimation, tendering, project management and contract administration, project development, design and construction.
 
You will have high level communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment, utilising your leadership skills, eye for detail and your ability to develop internal and external working relationships will ensure your success with GHD.
