The Royal Flying Doctor (RFDS) has been operating in WA since 1935 when two bases were established in Wyndham (in the Kimberley) and in Port Hedland. The Wyndham base later moved to Derby, where it still operates today. In addition to Derby and Port Hedland, we now also operate from Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie and Jandakot, the official headquarters of the Service in this state.
