The new Mater Mothers’ Hospital opened in June 2008 and is the premier maternity facility in the southern hemisphere with 88 maternity beds, 16 birthing rooms and an anticipated 10,000 births per year. This is an exciting time to be joining our team!
We are currently seeking experienced Registered and Clinical Midwives to join both our public and private models of care.

An additional service within the new facility is the pregnancy assessment and observation unit, collocated with the birth suite. Managed by Mater Mothers’ midwives, this unit enables women with pregnancy related concerns to be reviewed in a setting that is comfortable and inviting. Women have access to the support of medical and allied health professionals as required.
