Consultant Psychiatrist

Position Profile:  WA Health is seeking to appoint suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dynamic people to the position of Consultant – Psychiatrist in a range of positions in various metropolitan and regional locations across the state. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will lead the provision of psychiatry services to patients. You will be required to promote personalised, safe and timely care. You will be required to lead and promote the organisational culture of commitment, accountability, respect and excellence. You will be required to actively address clinical risks and delays in patient care for individual patients. You will also be required to educate and supervise junior medical staff and other health workers. This role will also require you to work with the Head of Specialty and other consultants to manage unplanned and planned patient demands, achieve national performance outcomes and to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.

Registration requirements:  Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent. Refer to the AHPRA website:
