Our Minerals and Industry business delivers innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions for a wide range of projects including materials handling in base metals, alumina and coal industries.

Due to continued project demands AECOM’s Brisbane team is now seeking interest from Project Controls Engineers to join an existing team.

In this role you will be performing all aspects of project controls including estimating, cost control and scheduling for assigned areas of large projects or for all areas of small projects undertaken by the Minerals & Industry business line.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Services cost control, reporting and forecasting
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) 
• Prepare estimates as required
• Allocate budget to committed funds
• Establish and maintain trend and change control programs
• Provide input to project procedures and plans
• Maintain forecast at completion costs
• Identify and report potential cost trends and scope changes and recommend possible alternatives
• Process contractor progress payment certificates
• Analyse contractor cost and time claims for extra works and
• Review and maintain schedule and progress data provided by construction contractors

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years experience in the industry and 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Controls, Estimating or Planning. Past experience on multiple EPCM, Alliance or major D&C projects is essential. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline are preferable.
