Our client is a global internet company steadily growing the Sydney office. You will join a large team of city based professionals in their open plan offices, with a culture of open communication, a relaxed professional atmosphere, internal career progression and just a great place to work.
On their behalf we are looking for a like minded individual that brings a minimum four years commercial experience looking after large MS SQL 2000/05/08 databases where around the clock availability of internet transactional up-time is key for business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Production/Test/Development database support
* Data migration/transformation/backup/recovery
* Performance/Tuning/Capacity planning
* Support global developer/QA/Support staff
* Develop process/procedure to monitor/automate DB maintenance
* Maintain defined operation of backup and recovery
* Maintain security protocols/policy/compliance
* Install, configure and implement new databases
In addition your post graduate commercial experience includes:
* Physical and logical DB apps modeling
* DB schema's, all concepts and DB schema changes
* data access methods, DB admin tools, utilities, data replication
* reporting and analysis tools
* T-SQL analysis and performance optimisation
