A leading engineering consultancy who specializes in mining and infrastructure projects in Australia currently have opportunities available for an outstanding candidate to display his technical Systems Assurance Engineering skills.

The Systems Assurance / RAMS engineer will directly report to the Systems & Safety Manager and will be responsible for all Systems Assurance activities.

As the Systems Assurance / RAMS Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Undertake the Safety Management Process
• Undertake systems assurance activities as delegated by the Systems & Safety Manager
• Work closely with internal and external entities associated with the project
• Participate in safety audits
• Review of contractors system assurance documentation
• Undertake as required safety engineering activities such as Hazard Identification (HAZID), Event Tree Analysis (ETA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Operation & Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA) and Failure Mode & Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA);
• Participate in project system safety activities
• Conduct Reliability calculations as required

In order to be considered, the successful Systems Assurance / RAMS Engineer should possess:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Rail Industry, R&D, and safety engineering.
• RAM Plans essential
• Experience using CENELEC standards (EN 50126, EN50128 & EN50129);
• Previous experience undertaking safety analysis techniques, including PHA, HAZID, SHA (FTA, ETA), FMECA & OSHA
• Experience in developing rail associated System Safety Plans, RAM Plans, Hazard Logs & Safety Cases
• Previous experience reviewing design documentation
