Emergency medicine registrar positions in Perth (training & non-training)

There are currently positions available for emergency registrars in an outer-metropolitan hospital in Perth, Western Australia.

The physician-designed emergency department sees up to 47,000 cases per annum, with a 10-15% admission rate in a 100 + bed hospital. The facility provides general medicine and surgical services, with a 6 bed intensive care department to open in January 2011.

The department is well staffed with emergency specialists, senior non-specialists, and an excellent nursing team. This position is an ideal opportunity to join a progressive, friendly department, in a growing facility.

The department is accredited for 6 months emergency training, and will consider applications for 6 months or more. Applications will be considered for those not wishing to undertake emergency training, but who are suitably qualified for the position.

Perth is a stunning city on the Western coast of Australia, with excellent community facilities, sport, schools, universities, restaurants, and cultural activities. Perth is within easy driving distance of the Margaret River wine region, for those who enjoy outstanding wine and food. It is within closer reach to Asia and Europe, and there are regular flights to Australian capital cities.

Candidates must be eligible for medical registration in Australia. All applicants not from a comparable medical system (UK, Canada, Ireland, USA) must have completed IELTS and AMC-MCQ as a minimum to be considered.
