Senior Coastal Engineer

Currently we have an opportunity for a Senior Coastal Engineer in our Water and Infrastructure Group. Our specialized Coastal Management team is looking after a variety of large projects and work together with the different business lines within Aecom ANZ.

In the position of Senior Coastal Engineer, you will provide technical competence to our current and future projects.  This position will also provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to the coastal engineering team in order to embrace them to resolve technical problems.

• Degree or post graduate degree in Engineering with a significant water, coastal or marine component

Desirable knowledge:
• Sound knowledge of marine systems including tides, waves and currents
• Experience with the collection and processing of metocean data
• Knowledge of dredge operation and the dredge industry
• Knowledge of morphological processes in the marine and estuarine environment
• Experience with numerical modelling of coastal and/or oceanic systems
• Knowledge of port operations including navigation and material handling
• Experience in the design of coastal protection, including physical modelling
• Experience in offshore and subsea structures
• Understanding of Australian environmental legislation and its application to marine developments
