The job:
A rewarding opportunity now exists in our Brisbane team for an accomplished Fauna Ecologist with demonstrated proficiency in terrestrial and aquatic fauna, ecological assessment and relevant environmental legislation.

In Queensland, our specialist group of scientists is currently engaged on a range of projects, including terrestrial and aquatic components of Environmental Impact Assessments, targeted flora and fauna surveys, and development and monitoring of management programs for native and exotic species.
Our ecologists provide policy and industry guidelines through to the design and implementation of scientific, management and monitoring programs for clients across a variety of sectors such as mining, oil and gas, infrastructure providers, government and developers.
Who are we looking for?
• Successful applicants will have gained an honours degree in an environmental science discipline.
• 15+ years relevant consulting experience in design, implementation, analysis and reporting of fauna surveys; development of recognised and innovative measures to mitigate impacts on fauna; and preparation of reports to address relevant environmental regulations.
• A successful track record in project management, including work procurement and management of project teams, scope, schedules and budgets will be essential for this role.
• You will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, solid business development acumen and previous experience guiding and mentoring project staff to deliver quality project outcomes.
