Our people are the key to the success of Monadelphous.  Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a self motivated, highly experienced Heavy Lift Engineer to join the team and be recognised.  

In this position you will report to the Heavy lift Manager and assist in managing the requirements for our large Crane Fleet within the Engineering Construction Division. The role involves coordinating and mentoring all heavy lift Crane Operators, liaising with the clients, producing heavy lift studies and participating in the tendering process.

Key responsibilities of this role will  include:

•   Liaising with Project Manager’s, Construction Manager’s and Engineers to ensure equipment, labour and logistic requirements are understood;
•   Working with the project team to ensure commercial and economical benefits for the project are achieved;
•   Develop and implement technical documentation to ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule and budget requirements; and
•   Onsite supervision and coordination of heavy lift operations and personnel.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:


•   Minimum 3 years hands on industry experience, with a thorough understanding of site operations;
•   A proven track record in the configuration and lifting of pre-assembled modules and managing the logistics from yard to site; and
•   A thorough understanding of technical elements of the work you are supervising ie. Heavy lift, mechanical installation, rigging etc.

Your well developed written and verbal communication skills teamed with your strategic thinking and influencing ability will be key to developing effective business relationships with clients and key stakeholders.   With a high level of initiative, exceptional organisational skills and strong leadership ability, you will have a proven track record of working cohesively in a contracting environment.  Tertiary qualifications in Engineering are preferred but not essential.
