Our client is looking for a senior level mine geologist to come on board with them residentially. With operations galore, there will be plenty of scope for you and your career to grow within this progressive outfit.
 
As the Senior Geologist you will be responsible for managing the Geology team and providing technical support on all facets of mine geology including:
 
  • Supervision and management of mine geologists and underground drill contractors
  • Development of grade control procedures
  • The supervision of all geology functions in regards to the underground operation
  • Coordination of daily production activities
  • Working closely with Mine Planning and Production personnel to advance and optimise the underground drilling programs
  • Production of a monthly geology report
  • Providing recommendations to improve mine performance and assess feasibility options for underground mining
  • Coordination of face mapping and sampling
  • Continual promotion of mine site safety policies 
 
We want you to come into this role as a degree qualified professional with a bachelors in Geology or a related field and at least 7 years experience in underground mining (ideally gold). We want you to also have an extensive working knowledge of 3D geological software as well as impeccable communication and organisational skills.
