Joining an operation as a mine planning engineer should never mean that you’ll be 'pigeonholed' in the role forever and its important that you cover all aspects of mine planning and design without being continually dumped with ongoing ring design work because no one can find any D&B engineers.

There will be plenty of encouragement and support to complete the requirements for your mine managers tickets and you'll be working for a Supt that's big on handing out responsibility for your own area and the decisions on how to mine them.
