Electrix currently has vacancies for experienced Instrumentation Technicians for our Perth operation. There are further opportunities for personal growth and professional development in these exciting and challenging roles.

Your main duties will be to maintain, install and commission a variety of industrial and mining instrumentation and control systems, and ensure they are completed safely, and to a high quality standard within the contract timeframe.

Skills and Qualities Required

  • Calibrating control equipment including pressure instrumentation, temperature and flow measuring equipment.
  • Fault finding in control loops.
  • Installing control equipment including panel wiring.
  • Installing and terminating control and instrumentation ccts.
  • Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client’s plant and equipment by completing projects and maintenance work on time and to requirement.
  • Applying the industry codes of practice and ensuring they are complied with on each project.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance are achieved
  • Experience with PLCs, VSD’s etc
  • Previous experience with distribution or capital works would be an added advantage.
  • A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work.
