Founded in 1838, Beverley is one of Western Australia’s oldest towns and is situated on the banks of the Avon River, in the heart of the Wheatbelt region. The Shire is approximately 138 kilometres, or one and a half hours’ drive, southeast of Perth along the Great Southern Highway.

The Beverley community is alive with activity and numerous events are scheduled throughout the calendar year. Participation is encouraged at all levels, and many events are volunteer run. The Beverley Agricultural Show and Avondale Annual Harvest Festival are perhaps the two most popular events and activities showcase the town’s major industry – agriculture – with sheep shearing, pony rides, working sheepdog trials, local produce displays, and more. The local business district is sufficiently equipped with a bank agency, post office (with banking facilities), newsagent, supermarket, café and hotel with dining facilities, butcher, liquor store and more. The Beverley District High School caters for pre-primary, primary and high school students until curriculum Year 10 and provides children with high quality educational services and facilities.

This position is offered in a part time capacity based on approximately six sessions per week (days and session times to be arranged on appointment). An attractive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate.
