Civil Design Engineer - Urban Development
This Australian based, medium sized engineering consultancy has an urgent need for a Civil Design Engineer in the ‘Urban Developments’ team based in Canberra. Originally established in Melbourne in 1953 this successful and expanding organization has 4 offices across Australia with a 5th office based in Asia.
Their workload is predominately land development based with the skill sets split up into 4 main disciplines across the business; Urban Development/Civil Engineering; Major Roads; Water & Environmental; Building Structures. The Canberra office has both an Urban Development and Roads/Traffic team in place working for both public and private sector clients. With over 200 members of staff across Australia and 38 of those based in Canberra, they have a strong, established and successful reputation across ACT, New South Wales, Queensland & Victoria
As a Civil Engineer you will be working on a variety of projects including:
Master planned communities in NSW and ACT
Major infrastructure works
Water and Sewage schemes
Pavement rehabilitation
Responsibilities of this role will involve:
Design and investigation of conceptual designs
Preparation of reports and master plans
Preparation of detailed designs and documentation
Prepare scope of works
Analysis of technical information
Reports and technical information
Liaise with other traffic and roads and urban development team members
To be considered for this role you must have 5-7 years experience in a similar role with demonstrated knowledge of construction principles and industry regulations. You must also be degree qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering - Civil. Excellent written and verbal communication are a must as well as a demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
