Position: Engineering, Road & Rail Engineering
This is a lead role in the established transport team of this national multidisciplinary consultancy.
This is a senior road design role for an engineer skilled in Microstation and Autocad. You will work with a peer group of industry experts on a rich pipeline of local and national projects.
In brief the main duties will be
Interact directly with professional engineers to design all aspects of roadway engineering projects, including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, staging and maintenance of traffic, erosion control, and right of way plans
Work closely with Vic Roads as well as local governments and other municipalities to ensure that all facets of the design meet and exceed client expectations
Remain abreast of government regulations and roadway specifications
Design roadway projects ranging from road widening, intersection improvements-including roundabouts-interchange redesign, and new road constructions
Visit job sites to examine existing conditions and determine the best approach for design
Work efficiently to ensure projects are finished under budget and on time
