As a Civil Engineer you will provide expert advice on planning, construction, management and operation of the Queensland road network. Using your civil engineering qualification, you will be able to work in various divisions of Main Roads such as:
- Transport Planning
- Road Design
- Road Planning
- Bridge Design
- Road and Bridge Construction
- Road and Bridge Maintenance
- Asset Management
- Asset Performance
After further studies, development and experience there exists the opportunity to specialize in a number of areas within the Department of Main Roads including: Pavement Design, Risk Management, Road Safety, Traffic Operations, Transport Modelling, Hydraulics, plus many more.
