Presently URS Asia Pacific requires a suitably qualified Principal Maritime Engineer – Engineering Division to fill an exciting role within an expanding team of professionals within the Engineering Division.
Based at the Perth office, this position seeks applications from dynamic individuals with proven experience within the Engineering and Maritime sector.
To be successful you will need to:
Manage and grow the maritime side of the engineering business and fill the position of maritime business line leader.
The key responsibilities of the Principal Maritime Infrastructure Engineer are as follows.
- Work with others in the office and the group to grow the engineering business.
- Undertake project roles as agreed, such as project director, peer reviewer, project manager, short-term specialist or technical expert.
-Deliver projects successfully and be accountable for project planning, project direction and project management.
-Ongoing review of current projects, proposals, backlog and prospects.

•Geraldton Port Enhancement Project - Review of modifications to Berths 3,4 and 5. Relocation of Geraldton yacht club pens and planning for the proposed tug harbour.
•Port of Wyndham -Design documentation and contract administration for the new navigational aids
•Port of Broome - Contract administration for provision of 3 bulk storage tanks on the jetty.
•Inco Goro Project- Review of maritime aspects of the project including dredging options and proposed berthing facilities.
•Flinders Ports, South Australia
•Artificial Surf Reef, Cottesloe, Wa
•Johns Creek Boat Harbour and Onslow Marine Facility
•Port of Broome Floating Berg
•Department of Defence - Garden Island.
•Jervoise Bay Northern harbour
•Dawesville Channel
•Proposed Ningaloo marina at Exmouth
Current- include:
•Port feasibility studies for major mining companies - BHP / RTIO / Vale Inco in WA and wider Asia Pacific region.
•Various Port facilities design for DPI and several Port authorities.
