A mining giant with operations throughout Australia is on the lookout for a metallurgist with a roll up your sleeves attitude who enjoys getting stuck into the daily operations of the plant and gains a sense of satisfaction from being able to influence the required outcomes of the team. Whilst this is a position that requires a lot of you there is always the time to have a laugh and your sense of humour will be appreciated.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Planning, designing and carrying out projects and test programs with outcomes focused on enhancing efficiency of the operation.
• Provision of technical support to operations
• Monitoring process performance against parameters and targets and reporting daily, weekly and monthly on performance, technical and variance issues
• Analysis and modelling of plant performance data
• Monitoring metallurgical laboratory
• Support to consultants and contractors visiting and working within the operation.
What is needed for this position is a degree qualified Metallurgist/ Chemical Engineer who has 3+ years relevant experience in a processing plant, good communication and computer skills and the ability to work successfully in a team.
