Department of Main Roads are investing $16.2 billion over the next five years on road and transport infrastructure that will connect our future, while simultaneously managing the State’s largest asset – some 35,500 km of road network valued at over $35 billion.
Due to this major spend on infrastructure we are seeking to appoint a Principal Advisor (Roadworks Efficiency) to be based at our Spring Hill office.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and guiding the implementation of the Department’s road delivery strategies, policies and systems
- Providing expert advice to senior management regarding the performance of road delivery systems.
- Liaising with Main Roads’ Regions and Districts, other State and Local Government agencies and with industry to develop, influence and further the understanding and acceptance of strategies, policies and systems for roadworks improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institute is mandatory to provide the expert advisory role.
The remuneration package for this role ranges from $79,300 – $85,000 plus a 2 year loading of between $19,800 – $21,200 which is reviewable at the end of the period. Main Roads also provides excellent benefits including flexible work hours and salary packaging options.
