Our client is a market-leading manufacturer and innovator in Health Products and Sports Nutrition from their Australian owned manufacturing facility and head office. They are an established and successful innovator in their category where they are held in high regard within their industry and customer base alike, while continuing to experience rapid growth.
As their Management Accountant professional at their Gold Coast office you are required to provide timely financial Information and advice for high level decision making.
You will be reporting directly to the active and involved CEO. The Management Accountant will be charged with the responsibility of maximising revenue of the business across all companies, retail segments and customers.
The position is required to provide timely, relevant and accurate information for a variety of strategic and operational decisions. The Management Accountant needs to be up-to-date with the changes taking place in the global manufacturing and marketing environment, and capable of providing relevant, accurate and timely information to fulfill the needs of management.
Our client needs to be able to respond rapidly to market demands. The focus of management accounting must move beyond summary financial measures of manufacturing operations - to maintain its central evaluation and control role.
The Management Accountant is a value-adding member of management teams, creating information vital for enhancing operational excellence and for formulating information to management for implementing new strategies.
The Management Accountant creates business knowledge for strategic leadership with roles in the product management, pricing decision, promotion, distribution decision, strategic financial structures and cost of capital, and strategic value analysis in linking finance and strategy.
Responsibilities include:
•Preparation, analysis and reporting of financial results
•Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
•BAS monthly preparation
•Various ad-hoc management reporting functions
•Cost management
•Lodgement of financial year tax returns
•Preparation of bank reports
•Preparation of weekly salary/wage payment and group certificates
You will be required to manage a small team who handle the daily transactions of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other associated accounting transactions.
The successful candidate will be flexible, have good business acumen and be able to prepare timely and accurate financial and management reports. Good communication skills are also essential in this fast moving environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential.
