Department of Main Roads are investing $16.2 billion over the next five years on road and transport infrastructure that will connect our future, while simultaneously managing the State’s largest asset – some 34,000 km of road network valued at over $35 billion.
As a result we are seeking a Materials Technician to be based at our Herston office in Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking and reporting on specialist tests, investigations and instrumentation activities as well as acts as a reference for procedural aspects of methodology.
- Providing technical advice to internal and external clients by analyzing data and reporting project outcomes.
- Participating in research and development project teams and developing documents for inclusion in the Divisional Operations System.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The possession of a qualification in Civil Engineering, either a Bachelor of Engineering Technology or Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma or accepted equivalent.
The remuneration package for this role ranges from $53,500 – $57,850 plus a 2 year loading of between $2,600 – $2,900 which is reviewable at the end of the period. Main Roads also provides excellent benefits including flexible work hours and salary packaging options.
