Commencing in 1991 our client has grown to be one of the largest private companies successfully providing comprehensive forestry services and is a significant Queensland mechanical contractor in both electrical distribution and transmission vegetation management programs. More recently the company has developed an infrastructure division which undertakes water and sewer installations for various councils and government associations.
Our client is currently looking for a CIVIL MANAGER who will undertake the following responsibilities:
•Daily running of crews – Pipelayers, Plant Operators, Labourers.
•Dealing with employee issues on a day to day basis and ensuring a work plan is set out for all employees.
•Ensuring that items for construction are ordered and available for use.
•Sending and receiving emails to ensure that good communication is maintained with clients.
•Liaising with clients to ensure works are followed to client expectation.
•Performing monthly toolbox meetings.
•Performing audits on all crews.
•Organizing scheduled services and repairs for unexpected breakdowns.
•Taking a hands on role when required, this may be for extended periods.
•Traveling throughout Queensland and NSW to check on crews and quote works.
•Daily reporting to the General Manager.
•Asisting the General Manager when required.
•Assisting in quoting of works – Pump Stations, Pipelines (water, sewer) etc and other civil activities which the applicant feels comfortable with.
•Extensive knowledge on building Pump Stations and Pipelines including Chambers, Pits, Man Holes and all other structures associated with the construction of Pipeline and Pump Stations.
•Reading of construction plans.
•Setting up pipe lazers and tripod lasers.
•Working out gradients and reading levels.
•Qualified Plumber/Drainer (preferable).
