As a Civil Engineer you will provide expert advice on planning, construction, management and operation of the Queensland road network. You will have strong relationship management and problem solving abilities as well as the ability to manage high end projects.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the selection of the most suitable contract process for project delivery, then administering the contract to ensure compliance and successful delivery;
- Ensuring all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Main Roads and clients
- Determining appropriate bridge and road maintenance procedures, work instructions and managing road and bridge maintenance tasks;

A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) is a requirement of this position.
