We are working with a leading Mining Operator who has considerable operations nationwide and a renowned industry reputation.
They currently have a direct need for an experienced Principal Mining Engineer for an underground hard rock operation in central NSW.
This position represents a fine opportunity to demonstrate your significant industry experience and individual talent in this specific technical mining field.
You will possess:
• Relevant mining engineering tertiary qualifications.
• Technical expertise in underground and/or open cut mining operations.
• A keen aptitude for planning, mine design, scheduling, budgeting and an understanding of project management methods.
• Strong skills in areas including communication (written & verbal), leadership, software & report writing skills.
Responsibilities will include:
• Establishing mining engineering systems
• Risk assessments
• Ore reserve estimation
• Planning and implementation
• Scheduling and cost estimation
• Close liaison with the technical services team
• Value-add work through development and analysis
