If you are a qualified Mining Engineer who has 3-5 years experience and spent a couple of years in operations and planning, but has a preference to build a career in Planning, then this is a role that will challenge and further develop your technical mine engineering skills.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer(Planning) you will be a key member of the team, providing planning and support to ensure the safe and efficient design and operation of the mine. Key responsibilities will be mine design, strategic scheduling and planning, and periodic reporting functions.
Strong interpersonal skills would definitely be to your advantage as would your ability to draw upon your previous experience to embrace the development of your management skills through the mentoring of graduates and junior mining engineers.
