Engineer (Transport Planning) - Brisbane

Department of Main Roads are investing $13.3 billion over the next five years on road and transport infrastructure that will connect our future, while simultaneously managing the State’s largest asset – some 34,000 km of road network valued at over $35 billion.


As a result of our rapid growth we are seeking an Engineer to work within our Transport Modelling division at Spring Hill.


You will be responsible for:


Undertaking, reporting and analyzing transport planning and traffic impact studies undertaken by the Network Operations and Modelling unit.

Hands on data analysis (transport modelling)

Working on the divisions data bases

Developing and applying data for transport model


You will ideally have exposure to transport or traffic modeling projects and have great analytical skills.


QUALIFICATIONS:


A Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia is a requirement of this position.

Eligibility to obtain Registered Professional Engineering of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation


The remuneration package for this role ranges from $60,700 – $66,200 plus a 2 year loading of between $7,900 – $8,600 which is reviewable at the end of the period. Main Roads also provides excellent benefits including flexible work hours and salary packaging options.
