Department of Main Roads are investing $13.3 billion over the next five years on road and transport infrastructure that will connect our future, while simultaneously managing the State’s largest asset – some 34,000 km of road network valued at over $35 billion.
As a result we are seeking to appoint a Senior Advisor (Maintenance Management) to be based at our Spring Hill office.
As the Senior Advisor (Maintenance Management) you will be responsible for:
- Researching and preparing policies, strategies, systems and processes and guidelines in the domain of Project Delivery Improvement.
- Maintaining road maintenance standards
- Developing policies and delivery mechanisms for maintenance management
- Providing timely and accurate advice to the Principal Engineer (Maintenance Management) on roadworks delivery improvement matters
- Preparing submissions, briefs and policy/research papers.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have strong technical expertise in the application and development of specifications, standards and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Civil Engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary institution which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia is mandatory to provide the expert advisory role.
The remuneration package for this role ranges from $70,500 - $75,900 plus a 2 year loading of between $17,600 – $18,900 which is reviewable at the end of the period. Main Roads also provides excellent benefits including flexible work hours and salary packaging options.
