'In this role, you’ll be using SAP to control upgrade projects and for plant maintenance. Project work will include the likes of testing, installation and commissioning of several Boiler Switchboards of various voltages, the replacement of 100MVA Transformers during plant shutdowns, and several LV, MV, and HV switchgear replacement projects, including design review, testing, installation and commissioning work. In a support function to the Reliability Department, you’ll develop and implement equipment maintenance and reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
This role is FIFO, which means you don’t need to worry about being made to live in a dumpy house because that’s the only one the company has available – you choose the quality of your permanent city accommodation; there is a distinct separation between work and home, so you can be sure work won’t encroach into your private time; and you have lots of free time to pursue other activities and goals during your time off that are not accessible to people who work standard 5-day weeks. Because the company has a number of sites within Australia, staff are quite mobile and internal promotions between sites frequent.
Needed for the role are a bachelor of electrical engineering and at least five years experience in electrical engineering. You need to have had previous work experience in mining or minerals processing.
