URS requires filling the position of Energy Efficiency Engineer within the sustainability team of the Perth Office of URS Australia Pty Ltd. The position involves the provision of a range of consultancy, applied research, and project management services on Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) implementation as per requirements of the Australian EEO Act 1st July 2006. This includes developing business integrated energy efficiency projects implementation in a wide range of 200 Australian business corporations (www.energyefficiencyopportunities.gov.au) in manufacturing, retail, and distribution, mining and minerals processing, transport, primary power production, oil & gas processing, and service industries. These also includes undertaking conceptual design, engineering, construction, and project management of major industrial waste heat recovery and reuse projects. Other services include providing AS/NZS 3598:2000 Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 energy audits, triple bottom-line evaluation and business case presentation of energy efficiency improvement projects, energy metering and monitoring systems, energy use information and data analysis, energy efficiency performance assessment and reporting, and providing independent verification and validation of energy efficiency achievements in the registered corporations. Proven ability to lead and deliver major renewable energy, waste-to-energy, gas-to-liquids, and other innovative technology projects such as geothermal power, tidal and wave energy projects, hydro, wind, anaerobic digesters, biomass, concentrated and flat panel solar power, and fuel cells, would be a great advantage. The position will also provide professional and management support to relevant crosscutting service areas such as greenhouse emissions abatement (e.g. Australian government approved green power use), environmental permitting and approval for the major energy development projects, industrial energy synergies, and energy policy research and analysis.
