Nickel West comprises five outstanding Western Australian-based assets, in terms of operating capability, scale, environmental standards, diversity, technology and development projects.

The Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation (RNO) is a A$2.8 billion project located in the South coastal region of Western Australia, just 180kms from Esperance. The operation, currently in commissioning, includes a new mine and processing facility, producing a mixed nickel and cobalt hydroxide intermediate product using state of the art technology. The operation offers employees a unique opportunity of working in a new, innovative and cutting edge operation.

The 5/2 4/3 day shift roster offers a choice of bus in bus out of Esperance or living residentially in Hopetoun.

Think Purpose

Reporting to the Inventory Controller your daily duties will include:

• Facilitating the inputs and outputs of the repairs process through direct liaison with site planners, purchasing and contracts personnel;
• Extracting, analysing and publishing repairs related data to allow for pro-active actions from both Line and Supply;
• Acting as a first level of escalation for site repairs problem areas;
• Managing delivery schedules/performance of critical repairs;
• Establishing and influencing best practice processes and procedures utilising existing BHPB networks and creating new site/NiW networks;
• Implementing and Managing stock refurbishment and preservation projects.

Think Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

• The desire to relocate and reside in Esperance or Hopetoun;
• Commercial acumen with knowledge of Inventory Management, SAP, Ideally you will have MS Office, Project Management experience;
• Exposure to the Procure to Pay process, Inventory Management strategies, process and execution and site Maintenance functionality;
• Site based experience, Commercial/Technical (or equivalent) Certificate and experience in Warehousing/Materials Management or Maintenance planning/coordination.

Although not essential applicants will be highly regarded if they possess

• Diploma in Warehousing or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Exposure to Maintenance Planning, Shutdown Planning
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements

This role will require you to travel to
other sites and at times Australia wide. Successful applicants will need to maintain flexibility with roster to cover critical shutdowns and be on call when required.
