Whilst this role is located at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter (KNS), responsibilities extend to the Kambalda Nickel Concentrator (KNC), located just 60kms south of Kalgoorlie.

Think Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Superintendent, this position provides specialist business and financial support to the KNSC team and has accountability for the following functions:

 Business analysis, including continuous improvement initiatives;
 Preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts;
 Actioning the KNSC finance team business plan;
 Month end financial close together with reporting requirements;
 Participating in corporate governance initiatives;
 Financial training, education and support to site cost centre managers;
 Ad-hoc finance and accounting queries.

Think Requirements

To be successful in this role you must hold tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Accounting and your CPA or CA qualification will be highly regarded. You will bring substantial financial and commercial experience, preferably in a resources or manufacturing environment.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be applied to developing productive relationships with the business. You will demonstrate a superior grasp of business planning process and have the ability to work well in a team environment. Working knowledge of SAP will be well regarded.
