Think Opportunity
Leinster is a complex and diverse nickel operation with mineralisation ranging from large disseminated to structurally controlled, narrow massive sulphides. The operation includes open pit and underground mining.
This role offers a very generous remuneration package including 11.5% superannuation and performance incentive bonus, fantastic working conditions and all this on a very attractive 8/6 FIFO roster.
Think Purpose
The key functions of the Mine Geologist are to efficiently manage tasks such as grade control, geological, structural and geo-mechanical data collection and interpretation, resource interpretation, modelling and estimation and compile end of month reconciliation and metal balance procedures.
Think Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum tertiary qualification in Geology and also a minimum 3 years experience working in an underground or open pit mining environment. You will have knowledge of geological modelling and grade control techniques with experience in base metal mines and exposure to structural geology highly regarded.
Sound written and communication skills, computer literacy and knowledge of Datamine are also required.
