BHP Billiton Nickel West are seeking a Mine Surveyor for Western Australia.
POSITION SYNOPSIS
We now seek a diligent team player to take responsibility for collecting, analysing, maintaining and managing data for all our underground and surface surveys. You will assist with the Mine Planning of underground development and production areas; and ensure all survey control information is accurate, and produced in a timely manner.
Keeping abreast of the latest in survey technology, you will ensure that the quality and accuracy of survey results is aligned with industry best practice. In addition, you will build productive working relationships with team members and underground personnel, and assist with the analysis of design and survey information in order for development and production tasks to be completed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Degree qualified in Surveying, you will have some professional experience, and be eligible to be registered as a Surveyor with a mining endorsement. Your career history testifies to your ability to reduce survey calculations in the field and provide survey information in plan form. You will also display superior computing skills. Mining industry experience and proficiency with SURPAC would be an advantage but is not essential.
