BHP Billiton Nickel West are seeking Six Sigma Specialists.
Your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are:
Provide leadership through the use of Six Sigma methodology on key projects and initiatives.
Mentor and coach project team members in the use of Six Sigma and Lean principles.
Identify business improvement opportunities by liaising with departments.
Report on business improvement projects including their associated benefits.
Participate in, facilitate and model effective project meetings.
Transfer and receive information and learning through effective networking within BHP Billiton and the broader mining industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work successfully at all levels of the organization
Provide evidence of computer literacy with regard to software packages used
Possess the ability to analyse statistical information/ data
Ability to work in a diverse number of working environments (eg: field operations, maintenance, processing, support management)
Degree qualified in a business or technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of practical experience and education in large scale process driven industries (eg Mining, Manufacturing, Financial etc).
Influencing, coaching and mentoring skills
Experience within the mining industry would be well regarded, though not essential.
Experience in managing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Commitment to safety and the environment
An accredited black belt, or willingness to gain accreditation, would also be viewed favourably.
Experience in the use of Six Sigma and/or Lean in the workplace would be highly regarded.
