BHP Billiton Nickel West are looking for a Project Metallurgist.
Position Synopsis
Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist - Projects; you will be responsible for the initiation, support and implementation of projects designed to improve the performance of the drying, filtering, melting and acid plant.
As an integral member of the technology team the Project Metallurgist will provide technical support to the operation by resolving and improving production performance, and delivering on project initiatives. The Project Metallurgist will also take responsibility for reviewing process control strategies, plant condition reports, and ensuring technical notes are completed.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will be degree qualified in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering and demonstrate a highly developed understanding of process metallurgy and process control systems. Strong project management skills are a must and experience in working in a continuous process environment and/or base metals industry would be advantageous.
