URS Brisbane requires a Noise Engineer/Scientist to work on a range of environmental projects focusing on noise and vibration impact assessments for a wide range of clients in the mining, industrial and transportation sectors.
A key focus of the Associate Noise Engineer / Scientist will be to develop URS capabilities in noise impact assessments, including responsibility for building a sustainable noise assessment practice. The Associate level role will include independent work as well as work tasks for multidisciplinary projects involving interaction with a range of professional disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of noise/vibration study projects including the preparation and monitoring of work scope, schedule, and budget; approval of billing statements with client follow-up as necessary.
Mentor and educate junior and intermediate staff and clients in relevant aspects of acoustical and noise/vibration control engineering.
Perform complex noise/vibration tasks includes planning, supervising, and conducting field noise/vibration measurements.
In addition, one of the key responsibilities of this position will be to develop a sustainable noise practice for the URS Brisbane office.
A minimum of seven years of progressive experience is preferred. More experienced people are encouraged to apply as salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
