The Climate Change Specialist is responsible for providing consulting services in greenhouse and climate change within the NSW-ACT region. A comprehensive understanding of the greenhouse and climate change agenda, government programs and industry response within Australia is essential.
Responsibilities
Advise URS clients on market, technical, political and physical risks and opportunities associated with greenhouse accounting, greenhouse accreditation schemes, greenhouse and carbon abatement strategies and the carbon offset industry
Support the marketing of URS services in greenhouse and climate change to existing and new URS clients
Lead or support the preparation of proposals for services in greenhouse, climate change and energy efficiency
Requirements
Greenhouse inventory and accounting in a variety of industries (essential)
5-8 years in an Engineering/Science/Environmental consultancy business (preferred but not essential)
Auditing or verification under existing State and Federal greenhouse and GreenPower accreditation schemes (highly desirable)
