Position: Mining, Production

The Senior Mine Production Engineer reports directly to the Manager Mining and his preference is for a qualified practical Mining Engineer with at least 8 - 10 years underground experience with some computer planning software skills (Vulcan and Mine Works Planner pref). Computer planning skills are not totally necessary as the company is prepared to train the right individual.
The position liaises with both the operating and technical teams by focussing on issues such as:
• Extraction Sequences
• Key Performance Indicators
• Equipment Evaluations
• Cost Reduction Initiatives
This role is an ideal opportunity for a Mining Engineer to integrate into a complex mining operation by providing support to the operating and technical teams, where you'll need to complement the underground team as a whole with a resourceful and flexible approach to problem solving, a versatile mix of mine engineering skills and more so, the practical “hands – on” attitude that ensures the mine meets budget requirements. Strong interpersonal skills would definitely be to your advantage, as would a sense of humour and the ability to draw upon your previous experience to embrace new challenges of managing a team in the future.
We would really like to talk to you if you are after a Mining Company that will be as committed to your career as you are. The position is residential and as such the company has a respectable attitude in relation to community involvement and the well being of its employee’s.
