Its expected that you will be creative thinking with the insight to challenge established ideas. This position reports directly to Manager Mining , with at least 10 years general mining related experience and a degree in mining engineering. Solid knowledge of 3D Mine Software and a background in mine planning and design will be favourable.
Your responsibilities will include
• Scoping studies.
• Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
• Open pit and underground mine designs.
• Mine development and scheduling exercises, project and operational.
• Capital and operating cost estimation..
• Mine audits and reviews.
• Project risk assessments.
• Project evaluations.
• Field assignments as necessary.
• Observation of Quality Management Systems.
• Participation in training courses as appropriate; and
• Participation at in-house policy committees as necessary.
