If you are a degree qualified geologist with either 2 years or 8 years underground, metalliferous experience and who is familiar with geological computer programs such as Surpac and Vulcan then please give us a chance to discuss these two roles with you. Your responsibilities would include:
• Planning & implementation of mine delineation drilling programs (design, costing & documenting)
• Supervision of contractor operations (periodic safety auditing)
• Pro-actively participate in workplace safety
• Logging of mine delineation drill-core
Undertake face & development mapping,
• liaising with shift supervisors/mine personnel
• Ensure timely and accurate collection, processing & data basing of geological data
• Creating geological interpretations & preparing documentation to assist with long-term mine planning
• Participate in weekly planning meetings with other technical services personnel.
Working with VULCAN mining software.
