This opportunity is for a dynamic and experienced Production Geologist ready to take that next step up to manage and lead the Mining Geology Department.
It is primarily operational, responsible for achieving optimum extraction of current reserves and reports to the General Manager

Geology is the most important basis of any resource estimation and so it is imperative that you are
· Degree qualified in geology
· Have at least 10 years plus experience Be proficient in relevant software packages like SURPAC.
· Have a demonstrated track record in managing the geology teams in similar base metals operations and be able to form effective relationships across the broader management team.
The objective of the position is to ensure the Company’s geology programs are implemented to high technical standards in a practical and cost effective manner within the guidelines of industry best practice for health, safety, environment and community relations
Basic description of duties would be
· Direction and supervision the estimation of Ore Reserves.
· Ensure systems in place for effective & efficient operation of the Geology Department.
· Provide leadership for safe and efficient conduct in compliance with Company’s principles.
· Budgeting, planning and scheduling of all geological activities.
· Recruit staff, develop skills, mentor and plan professional development
