Position: Mining, Underground Management
One of the world's largest gold mining companies is looking for an Underground Manager.
Purpose
To assist the Mining Manager in safely achieving annual budgets by coordinating and focussing the operational aspects of the Underground Operations at Newmont Jundee Operation.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• B.Sc./ B Eng Degree in Mining Engineering.
• First Class Mine Managers certificate for WA.
• FMI qualification at Diploma level.
• 8 to 10 years experience in underground operations since graduation.
• Experience in mine, drill and blast and ventilation design.
• A working knowledge of Vulcan mine planning system and Mine Works Planner.
• Ability to use Newmont standard computer packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, Ellipse, Project).
• Knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
• Knowledge of relevant standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work unsupervised and to ensure targets are met.
• To be able to direct and work in a team.
• The ability to make decisions based on available information.
• The ability to manage and motivate personnel.
