Dick Smith Electronics and Tandy are an electronics retailer which offers a great range, the latest products and everyday low prices. We are seeking an Area Manager who will be able to inspire their team and be results focused.
The purpose of the Area Manager's role is to drive the Dick Smith Electronics and Tandy businesses and to implement the company's growth strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and developing Store Managers within their area. This includes ensuring stores are achieving sales through maintaining and cultivating the Dick Smith and Tandy sales and service culture. It also includes effective performance management of teams and ensuring there are appropriate controls on stock, security, expenses and store presentation. Key Responsibilities
• Inspiring all stores in the area to promote, cultivate and maintain the Dick Smith Electronics & Tandy Sales & service culture
• Promoting company standards of customer service and teamwork
• Handling customer complains in line with company procedures
• Daily monitoring and communication of stores sales to budget
• Achieving or exceeding sales and profit budgets
• Controlling expenses to below agreed budgets
• Management of area team
• Ensure Occupational Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
• Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered and compiled to including security, cash control and recruitment
• Ensuring all Stores have adequate stock levels
• Work with store teams to minimise stock losses
To be considered for this position you will be able to meet the following
• Proven experience in managing a large retail store or multiple retail sites
• Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching and motivating staff
• The ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines
• Possess sound financial and business acumen
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be highly organised and results driven
• Availability to work a flexible roster in line with retail trading hours
• Ability to travel extensively throughout a given territory
• A current full drivers licence
Other attributes that will be highly regarded are
• A qualification in a business related discipline
